Juan Otero, DBA

Juan was a full-time college professor before he joined the firm, teaching finance to the next generation of business professionals. He holds two bachelor's degrees, an MBA in business administration and a Ph.D in business administration—and has extensive administrative experience as well. In 2021, he made the transition from academia to the financial industry, applying a wealth of knowledge to solve his client's investment challenges. He holds Series 6 Registration and is licensed to sell life insurance in Puerto Rico. He sees his main mission as one of improving people's lives through financial planning, especially as they prepare for retirement. Juan spends his off hours traveling with friends to Puerto Rico's beaches, reading up on finance and market behavior and playing the guitar and Puerto Rican cuatro. He has been the musical director of his parish choir for 25 years.
